We cannot wait to have Billy Lockett in King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. Catch him on Sunday 9 February.

Where did your love for music come from?

My love for music came from watching my mum and dad's band from an early age. They would only play covers but I found the whole idea of a group of people playing together really special.

Describe your sound in 3 words..

Dark, honest, genuine.

What music did you listen to growing up?

When I was growing up, I listened to Dylan, Stones, Tracey Chapman, Nick Drake and Neil Young.

What was the inspiration behind 'reset'?

Reset is a description of my life for the past two years. It's about re setting my sound and life in general.

Favourite venue you've ever performed?

My favourite venue I have ever performed at was Shepherd's Bush Empire, the atmosphere was electric and has always been a childhood dream of mine to play.

If you could have dinner with anyone in music past or present, who would it be and why?

I think it would have to be MJ..I have a lot of questions ????

Is there anything that you can't go on tour without?

I can't go on tour without Manuka Honey. I'm kinda addicted to the stuff and it's really great for my throat.

My most memorable gig was Manchester Apollo supporting Lana Del Rey. Even though I didn't get to meet her it was the first time I'd played to a crowd over a thousand so it really hit me but was incredible.

If you could have one song on repeat for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

I'd probably have 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' by the Beatles, I don't think I'll ever get tired of that song.

Any exciting plans for 2020?

2020 should be the start of an album and my biggest UK tour to date. I'm also hoping to head back to America this year too.
