Artist bio
Chloe Qisha is a Malaysian-born, UK-based singer, songwriter, and self-taught multi-instrumentalist who makes alternative pop. She introduced herself with her debut single, "VCR Home Video," in July 2024, followed by her self-titled debut EP in November 2024.
Despite her recent emergence, Chloe has rapidly gained attention. She received "One to Watch" accolades from Spotify, BBC Radio 1, Vogue, Elle, Clash and NME in Jan this year, graced the cover of Rolling Stone in March & has been booked to headline the Festival Republic stage at Leeds Festival this summer. Her debut headline show sold out in just four minutes, and her independently-released music has had over 10 million streams, making her one of the most promising new artists globally.
Musically, Chloe is marked out by a sharp focus on melody and a unique ability to convey complex emotions succinctly. As a lyricist, she explores the human condition with wisdom and dexterity, blending humor & profound seriousness seamlessly. Visually, Chloe presents a chic androgynous style and has an almost old fashioned commitment to entertaining, both in her music videos and shows.
Chloe's influences range from contemporary artists like Troye Sivan and Chappell Roan to Christine and The Queens and Olivia Rodrigo. She also draws inspiration from classic art pop acts such as Talking Heads, Madonna and Annie Lennox, blending these diverse elements into her distinctive brand.
Her recent singles, including "21st Century Cool Girl" and "Sex, Drugs & Existential Dread," showcase her versatility and ability to craft infectious pop tunes with depth. As she continues to evolve as an artist, Chloe Qisha is undoubtedly one watch.
