Ft. Alice Faye + Julen Santamaria + Grayling + Kenneth-Noah Blair
Alice Faye
Alice Faye is a spellbinding singer-songwriter from Glasgow, blending 70s pop, 60s folk, country, and chanson into a sound both nostalgic and fresh. With a powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics, her music draws from influences like Angel Olsen, David Bowie, Judy Garland, and ABBA’s Agnetha and Anni-Frid.
Praised by BBC Radio 2, Nick Lowe, and Belle & Sebastian, you may recognise Alice from Channel 4’s The Piano with Claudia Winkleman, Mika, and Lang Lang. She has captivated audiences at festivals like Belladrum and Celtic Connections and sold out venues like Glasgow's Glad Cafe and London’s Green Note.
Julen Santamaria
Julen Santamaria is a Glasgow-born singer-songwriter raised in a bilingual Scottish-Spanish household, where he was immersed in a rich tapestry of musical influences from an early age. His youth was spent singing in choirs, bands, and at a national level, laying a solid foundation for his distinctive sound.
You may recognise Julen from his projects with Awkward Family Portraits (AFP) or Baby Face and the Beltin’ Boys. Although he continues to develop his solo work, AFP remains his primary creative outlet, allowing him to bring his authentic voice and innovative compositions to audiences.
Grayling
Bonhill’s Emma, aka Grayling, mixes modern Americana with heartfelt storytelling. Inspired by Courtney Marie Andrews and Patsy Cline, she went from Loch Lomond busking to sold-out shows! Named “One to Watch” by Vic Galloway, Grayling brings soulful vibes.
Kennth-Noah Blair
Kenneth-Noah Blair is the creative force behind Noah & The West River Band, a rising talent in the Americana and country scene. Hailing from Glasgow, Kenneth crafts beautifully constructed songs that blend the warmth of classic Americana with his own unique touch. His music is characterised by heartfelt lyrics, acoustic arrangements, and a raw, authentic sound that has quickly captured the attention of listeners.
With a passion for home recording and a commitment to staying true to his roots, Kenneth-Noah’s work reflects both his deep connection to the genre and his personal journey. As a singer-songwriter, he has earned praise for his ability to weave together emotive storytelling with a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.
We’re thrilled to welcome these wonderful artists to the Glasgow Songwriter Round, where they'll be sharing their latest work, giving us a glimpse into his upcoming solo work, and talking all things songwriting.
