Bristol based duo Hailaker, return with new single I Said What I Said (Out Of My Head) featuring

indie folk duo lilo.

LISTEN TO I Said What I Said (Out Of My Head)

A warm and inspirational dive into their earlier sound the track, Featuring indie-folk duo lilo, who are fresh

off the back of their brilliant debut album which drew high praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, The

Line Of Best Fit & Uncut, offers a poignant and honest window into their writing process from previous

years, as well as marking the start of a new and very exciting chapter for Hailaker.

Of the track Coulter shares ‘This was a track written over 5 years ago, back in Cardiff, before anyone had

even heard Holding. It’s had a few iterations over the years, with the lyrics changing recently and at one

point we’d actually even lost the track entirely, so it feels great to be marking the 5 year anniversary of

Holding with a track that is a genuine time capsule from when we were first writing the record.

The track itself is about those moments where you really put your foot in it… or at least think you have

and then consequently just can’t stop thinking about it, and get lost in this endless cycle of overthinking

which I’m sure many people have experienced.

And following the back to back sold out headline shows that came at the end of 2024, Hailaker will be

heading on their debut headline tour later this year. With Ed Tullett stepping away from live duties to focus

on a solely studio-based role with the project, Hailaker are pleased to introduce instrumentalists Florrie

Adamson-Leggett, Beni Evans and August Pemberton, who alongside Jemima Coulter now make up

Hailaker’s live band. Having debuted at London’s Barbican Centre earlier this year, the refreshed iteration

of the live setup marks an exciting new chapter in the journey of an until-now reclusive and intimate

project.
