Helicon blend neo-psych-rock with sitars, electronica, ambient soundscapes and irresistible grooves to take psychedelic music
into fresh, new territory. They channel their love for 60s counter- culture and eclectic, global music influences to create a modern
and distinctive sound. Helicon was formed by brothers John-Paul and Gary Hughes in East
Kilbride, Glasgow. They signed to Fuzz Club in 2017 and have released 3 studio albums, 2 live albums, 2 EPs and 3 stand-alone singles to date.
Over the last few years, the band have been featured on BBC Radio 6 Music and previously collaborated on recordings with Tony Doogan (Mogwai), Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, The Brian Jonestown
Massacre, Spiritualized, Dead Skeletons), Mark Gardener (Ride) and LA-based DJ/producer Al Lover.
