The Regents are an exciting indie/synth-pop five-piece from Glasgow, who are making their mark with a sound that's both infectious and heartfelt. The lineup features Adam Galvin on vocals and guitar, Ryan Brown on lead guitar, David Stevens on bass, Andrew Stevens on keys and saxophone, and Adam Kershaw on drums. Since forming in 2022, The Regents have quickly found their groove, blending shimmering melodies with introspective lyrics.
Drawing inspiration from a range of artists like The 1975, Bleachers, Dayglow, The Japanese House, and Blossoms, they create music that’s packed with energy and emotion. They’ve already released two standout singles: “I’d Like to Know,” a reflective anthem that delves into themes of longing and connection, and “More Than a Friend,” a track that tells the story of meeting someone at a bar and you instantly have a connection. Both songs highlight their versatility and have been gaining attention for their relatable lyrics and catchy hooks.
Every performance is a testament to The Regents’ chemistry and passion, leaving audiences wanting more. As they continue to write and record new music, they’re on a mission to become a standout act in the indie scene. If you want to experience their live show, be sure to catch them headlining at King Tut’s!
