FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I BUY A TICKET?
Simply go to the "What’s On" section of our website, search for the show you are looking for and click “Tickets & Information”. This will direct you to our ticketing partner Ticketweb's website where you can purchase your ticket(s)
You can also pop into Tut’s when we are open and buy a ticket from behind the bar
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
All gigs are 18+, unless it states beside the gig information that the show is for “over 14’s”. Please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and that King Tut’s operates the Challenge 25 policy – more info on Challenge 25 and accepted forms of ID can be found here: https://rasg.org.uk/about/
WHEN IS THE BAR OPEN?
The public bar is open from:
- Mon – Thur: 6pm
- Fri: 4pm
- Sat: 2pm
- Sun: 4pm
Please note: The public bar is only open on show days plus Saturday afternoon.
We have an all ages Open Mic session in the bar from 2pm – 6pm on a Saturday afternoon.
Only persons over the age of 18 are permitted into the bar after 6pm for most events - please check age restrictions for specific shows.
You can call the venue office from 10am – 6pm Monday - Friday on 0141 846 4034 for any specific event or opening enquiries.
DO I HAVE TO BE ATTENDING A GIG TO VISIT KING TUT’S?
King Tut's has a public bar and everybody is welcome regardless of whether you are attending a gig or not. Children are also welcome accompanied with an adult on Saturdays + Sundays until 6pm*. Please be aware that you must be 18 to purchase alcohol and that as a Challenge 25 venue, you may be asked to prove your age. More info can be found here: https://rasg.org.uk/about/
* we would advise that customers call ahead or email barmgr@kingtuts.net to reserve a table for drinks and let the team know that there will be children attending, as the bar can become very busy on weekends and we may not be able to accommodate children without prior arrangement.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
Not really. We want you to be yourself and look and feel your best. The venue can be crowded and some crowds quite active, so we do recommend comfortable shoes!
There are some exceptions – no football tops / scarves (if you’re popping in for a drink on your way to a match, we may ask you to cover up whilst in the bar). Garments with discriminatory, offensive, or hateful slogans are not permitted nor welcome. No crash helmets or balaclava style masks to be worn whilst on the premises.
CAN I VAPE IN THE VENUE?
No, we’re afraid not. Vapers and smokers can share their best gig stories in the smoking area at the front of the venue. You’re welcome to take your drink with you up until 10pm but we do politely request that you consider our neighbours and save your singing for when you’re back inside the venue.
DOES THE VENUE HAVE DRINK COVERS?
We do, yes. We have Stop Topps available from both bars, just ask a member of the team if you’d like one. Please note if you’re going outside after 10pm, let us know and we’ll show where you can sit your drink; in the interests of safety, drinks that have been left unattended for > 10 mins will be removed and disposed of.
GENERAL SUPPORT
If you feel uncomfortable or have concerns when you’re at the venue, please speak to one of the team – your visit should be an enjoyable one and we’re here to help in whatever way we can. We’ll always be supportive, non-judgemental, and discreet.
